Documentation Required by the Registry Office

1. Proof of vessel ownership
2. Proof of cancellation of any foreign sea vessel registrations
3. Proof of vessel's seaworthiness
4. Documentation of vessel's name, weight, official number, and home port
5. Documentation of the vessel's physical measurements

It is highly possible an oath will be required. Additionally, proof of provisional registration for a one-year period might need to be available. There could be circumstances where these items are not required.

Additional Documentation Needed

• Yacht or ship registration application
• Yacht or ship declaration
• Proof of ownership of vessel, must be notarized
• Foreign marine document or registration of this vessel, must be certified
• Vessel's proof of seaworthiness, inspection report cannot be more than three months older from application receipt date
• Proof of insurance on this vessel
• Two color photos of this vessel, each must be 4 X 8 inches. One of vessel from portside bow to stern, the other from starboard side stern towards the bow
• If the home port of this vessel will be Vanuatu, you must furnish proof of a radio station license
