SEAMEN SENDING IN THEIR OWN APPLICATIONS

1. If a seaman is sending in his/her own application, the applicant will be charged an additional $100 fee for processing the application.

2. After verification is completed for the documents submitted, an e-mail will be sent with a copy of the invoice for processing the application. When payment is received, VLAS will send out the Vanuatu documents to the seaman.

3. Payments can be made online.

4. Walk-in applications are not permitted. All applications must be submitted via courier, regular mail or online. Mailing addresses are displayed on VLAS website.

5. All incomplete applications are held for 90 days. If the missing documentation is not submitted within this period of time, seamen must re-apply.
