Circular No. 8 - Mandatory Certification Requirements for Vanuatu-Flagged Vessels

As part of our commitment to enhancing quality standards, providing superior service, and ensuring compliance with Port State Control (PSC) requirements:

All Vanuatu-flagged vessels operating under the Code of Safety for Caribbean Cargo Ships (CCSS Code) and SOLAS regulations are strictly required to obtain their statutory certificates exclusively from a Recognized Organization (RO) authorized by Vanuatu. No other entity is permitted to issue these certificates, and compliance with this requirement is mandatory without exception.

This directive will take effect at the time of the first scheduled annual survey for each vessel. Non-compliance with this requirement will result in the automatic cancellation of all existing Vanuatu statutory certificates by the Administration. This measure underscores our dedication to maintaining the highest standards of safety and regulatory compliance across our fleet.

We trust all stakeholders will fully support and adhere to this initiative to uphold Vanuatu’s strong reputation within the global maritime industry. Should you have any questions or require further clarification, please contact the Administration promptly.
